Girls Academy Program ID Sessions 2017

US Soccer is launching the Girls Development Academy Program as an effort to advance the development of world-class female players.  The academy will focus on positively impacting the everyday club environment to assist in maximizing female youth player development across the country.  US Soccer Girls' Development Academy Games will be scouted by US Soccer and the program will serve as a pathway to US Soccer Youth National Teams.

The Capital Area RailHawks Girls Development Academy Program Staff will be hosting Identification Sessions in Spring 2017.  The goal of these sessions is for players of high quality and potential to be evaluated by the Academy Staff amongst other quality players within their own age group.  These sessions will be for non-CASL registered players.  CASL registered players will have separate identification sessions and information will be provided to CASL members.

Based on these Academy Identification Sessions, communication and recommendation from area club staff, individual player interest, and game scouting, we will formulate our Academy Trial Invite List.  The Girls Academy Trials, which will be held in March, will be used as the primary source for player selection for the 2017-2018 Academy Teams.  Dates and logistics on the trials will be posted in mid February 2017.
